Bow Tie Chic

Good afternoon!

I have been saying a lot recently that I love a good bow tie. They look classy and make men look sleek and sophisticated. Class, class, class :)

This inspiration shoot by Habitually Haute Events and Sarah McKenzie Photography put together a classic styled shoot using black & white with a hint of pink. I am swooning over the bride's Watters gown by the way! So beautiful.

Inspiration Shoot: Green & Gold New Years

While scrolling through the numerous wedding blogs that enamor me, I came across this beautiful inspiration shoot. I love it because it incorporates a lot of sparkle (a must in my eyes), Emerald green(THE colour of 2013), confetti and lush white floral. The other reason I let out a giggle when I saw this is because I was just recently a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding (Amanda Swanlund of Twenty One Two Design Inc) and this was her wedding in a nutshell!

Amanda is a fantastic interior designer with a knack for colour, style and class. She is ahead of the times people.....and I love her for it. Hopefully we can show some sneak peaks of her wedding soon enough.

Couture Events created this beautiful shoot and i love all the details that went into it. Glitter cake pops and a sparkle photo booth backdrop..heaven :)

Take a peek and see if you agree, a NYE wedding is where it is at people

The Vancouver Club 'Engage 2013'

This past Sunday I attended the 'Engage 13' wedding show at The Vancouver Club and I loved every minute of it. If you have never had the opportunity to attend this show, I highly recommend it! Overflowing with lush florals, beautiful gowns, lace and bling, The Vancouver Club thouroughly entertained the hundreds of brides, planners and wedding industry professionals.

Established in 1889, The Vancouver Club is a designated hertiage building. The club is elegant boasting classic wood panels and chandeliers throughout. A bride who dreams of a classic ballroom wedding will not be let down.

Here are a couple of the pictures I snapped during the day.

Blush Bridal & Special Occasions presented a wonderful fashion show, showcasing 2013's most sought after bridal gowns

Delicious cakes and sweets lined the ballrooms
4 foot chandeliers line the Grand Ballroom

Guests were entertained with dancing couples, free shaving in the men's lounge & piano  serenades
The Georgian Room is exquisitely beautiful. Cotton candy, pink up lighting & an ombre floral centerpiece were a few of the creative touches throughout the event
Blush Bridal Fashion Show!

Some beautiful centerpieces and table decor which would inspire any bride

I am a sucker for pink. The Georgian Room blew me away

Pittsburgh Black Tie Beauty

Happy New Year eveyone!

After attending a fantastic New Years Wedding this year(more on that another day!),
I am loving the idea of a glamourous black tie wedding more and more. All your guests dressed to the nines, sipping champagne and dancing the night away. Sounds pretty amazing right!?

Craig Photography has captured this classic soiree set in the Carnegie Museum of Art (amazing!). You will die over the venue, beautiful bride and the class of this event. Love!

California Elopment...Sarah Yates!

Some of you may know that I have a crush on Sarah Yates. I absolutely LOVE her photography, style & humour! I think i initially fell in love with this engagement shoot.
I follow her blog and dream of the day I would have her photograph my wedding.

Oh happy day! Sarah Yates and Lou Mora have just had their magical elopment posted on our other favourite blogs (100 layer cake & Green Wedding Shoes)

I instantly was dying on the floor in love with her Monique Lhuillier dress. So untraditional, glam and fun....right up my alley!

Doesn't this make you want to elope? !!! And the video! Total tear jerker....My love for Sarah Yates continues....
